What the Witness is

The Interactive Witness is an artificial intelligence, not a person. It is a companion to The Favor and the Decree and to Scripture. It is not a counsellor, therapist, psychologist, doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, emergency service, or substitute for a qualified professional or trusted local support. AI replies may be incomplete or wrong.

How safety-sensitive messages are handled

The website checks for some recognizable crisis, abuse, coercion, stalking, and child-safety language before generating a normal reply. Recognized cases receive a fixed resource-focused response. Other incoming messages are screened by OpenAI’s automated moderation system before generation.

No automated filter detects every risk. Do not rely on this chat to identify an emergency, assess danger, preserve evidence, or contact help on your behalf. The website does not monitor conversations in real time and cannot dispatch emergency services.

What it will not do

• It will not use Scripture, providence, submission, forgiveness, or reconciliation to justify pressure, control, stalking, or abuse, or to tell someone to remain where they are being harmed.
• It will not diagnose, prescribe, or advise stopping or changing treatment.
• It will not claim prophecy, destiny, private revelation, or that God has instructed someone to pursue a particular person.
• It will not present itself as human or as a licensed professional.
• It is limited to the book, Scripture and Christian faith, and faith-centered guidance about adult love, dating, and marriage.

Adults only

The chat is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. Do not use it to discuss sexual situations involving a minor or to submit identifying information about a child.

Safety resources do not consume the preview

Recognized fixed safety responses are excluded from the normal AI-answer allowance. Access to the resources on this page never requires a purchase or chat consent.

Privacy

Chat text is sent to this website’s server and OpenAI when you choose to use the chat. OpenAI states that API data is not used for model training by default, but abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days. Read the Privacy Notice before entering sensitive information.

Reporting a response

The report link opens a draft in your email application; it does not silently upload the conversation. If you choose to send the email, include enough context to explain the problem but remove personal or confidential information.
